Energy Smart Eastside is installing free heat pumps in qualified Adult Family Homes.

For a limited time, Energy Smart Eastside is funding 100% of the cost of installing a heat pumps in 40-50 Adult Family Homes (AFH) on the Eastside.

To be eligible for this program, an AFH must be:

  1. Located within the city limits of Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Redmond or Sammamish

  2. An Adult Family Home as defined in RCW 70.128.010 (1) and licensed by Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) with no active violations.

Applications are open until 5:00pm April 4, 2025.

How does the program work?

Heat pumps are a proven solution for heating and cooling buildings, they reduce monthly energy bills and increase comfort on hot and smoky days.

Energy Smart Eastside’s Adult Family Home Program is supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act (CCA). The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health.
